Vapour blasting / Aqua blasting

Vapour blasting, sometimes called 'Aqua blasting' , is a cleaning process that uses water and an abrasive medium which is accelerated from a nozzle a pump and compressed air. The glass beads which are used as the medium, are mixed with water to form a slushy mixture and then blasted at the item requiring cleaning. The water buffers and lubricates the glass beads allowing a fine finish with no damage.

The vapor blasting process is suitable for all non ferrous metals (aluminium, Bronze, Magnesium, Titanium, Brass, Stainless Steel ,Copper etc) and gently cleans the surface to leave satin finish.

Please be aware that any item that rusts should not be vapour blasted as the item oxodises instantly.

As the vapour blasting process is fairly passive, things like paint, varnish and even heavy grease need to be removed before blasting. We also recommend removing any valves and bearings from things like cylinder heads prior to delivery, although we are happy to do this for you for a fee.
